GoodKoz Weekend

“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.” – Lao Tzu, Chinese Philosopher

GoodKoz Weekend is a TWO DAY conference to help small and startup nonprofits build their capacity to do good in the communities they serve.

Founded under the philosophy of “Give a man a fish…”, GoodKoz Weekend was created by small nonprofits for small nonprofits and provide a conference with a low barrier to entry which will include 20+ sessions in two days with three tracks (Founders, Board Members, Operations) which include sessions on topics ranging from Accounting to Volunteer Management and everything in between, using various educational formats from lecture to panel discussions.

“Teach it on Friday, apply it on Monday”

Our presenters are hand picked and agree to follow our teaching philosophy, “TEACH it on Friday, APPLY it on Monday!” This philosophy provides attendees with ACTIONABLE knowledge they will be able to apply with limited barriers immediately after the conference. They will be able to move their organizations forward in ways they may not have known before.

Our presenters have agreed to provide ALL the information possible in a 50 minute session they can and make it ACTIONABLE so attendees can apply absorb it and apply it without the need to purchase additional books, classes, consultants, etc. Now obviously, if you are taking on session on marketing and you do not have the basic tools needed, you will have to acquire those, but our presenters will provide how to access those as well at a minimum cost and provide ways nonprofits may acquire them for free or low cost.

Resources are key to any business, especially small nonprofits. By attending GoodKoz Weekend, all attendees will have access to all the resources all the presenters and GoodKoz Network provide through the sessions and the weekend at large.

Additional resources will be available from our event sponsors who will be attending as well in our marketplace.
